Public bug reported:
This was the default behavior in Ubuntu 10
Now by default *.bat files are executable but *.sh are not.
I have no way to change this without some console mayhem.
I cannot run for example applications based on tomcat on a fat partition without rewriting their scripts because everywhere they use
./catalina.sh
instead of
sh catalina.sh
** Affects: udev (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
