I'm marking this bug as invalid since that's the intended behavior.
Entering your password works; it just doesn't show any output while
you're typing.

  Unable to type password in terminal when using sudo

Status in “sudo” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  When I go into terminal and try to use commands for 'sudo', I'm asked
  for password. But although the cursor flashes on screen, nothing
  happens when I press any of the keys. Only happens when trying to
  access sudo commands.
