Thanks for the logs

Could you try to remove gcj-4.4-base, gcj-4.4-jre-headless, libgcj10 and
libgcj-common and tell if it works around the upgrade issue. Note that
it may also remove software dependant of these packages, so do it only
if you don't absolutely need them.

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I did all the available updates before launching update-manager -d .
  There are no errors in

  apt-get update
  apt-get upgrade
  apt-get install -f

  ...
  The dist-update reports

  E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be
  caused by held packages.

  I can't find any held packages.  I've uninstalled Opera and disabled
  it from the list of apt sources.
