Bug description:
  was logging in to kdm 
  gdm and lightdm both hand at logging in with old user
  lightdm will log a user if i delete every thing from its home directory however will only log into a screen that has a menu bar across the top.  more like a application then a (not sure what u call it ) desktop environment.
