[Bug 871528] Re: slow boot, udev-related?

The only thing udev.log shows is that it took 113 seconds after boot
before udevtrigger was run, which means that the initramfs took a long
time to complete but doesn't tell us why.

Please attach a boot chart from this boot so we can see where the time
is being spent.

Do you have the cryptsetup package installed on this system? (It
doesn't look like it.)

According to udev.log, there are no LVM volumes present.

How reproducible is this problem? Does it happen on every reboot?

Please modify your udev initramfs scripts with the patch that follows,
run update-initramfs -u, and reboot. When you manage to catch the slow
boot, please attach the /dev/.udev.initramfs.log file to this bug.

Title:
  slow boot, udev-related?

Status in “udev” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I do not know when this started, if after the last dist-upgrade, or
before (previous three dist-upgrades were done via SSH). But this one
took a LONG time to finish.

This is, perhaps, related to bug 818177.
