Status in “plymouth” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  On 11.10, while the system is loading, half of the load process it
  shows only purple screen. Ubuntu logo shows up after 3-4 seconds. It
  not critical, but it destroys first impression of the system.
