Title:
  Update manager not working

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package
  information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and
  include the following error message:

'E:Type 'n' is not known on line 1 in source list
  /etc/apt/sources.list.d/kubuntu-ppa-ppa-lucid.list, E:The list of
  sources could not be read.'

I was trying to install DigiKam 2.2.0 onto my laptop. I have Ubuntu
10.04 and It required a few dependencies from Kubuntu. I installed a
PPA from Phillps5 directory and the update manager crashed. How do I
  fix it?

  Thank you.
