[Bug 873072] [NEW] Postinst error: chown: invalid group: `root:messagebus'

Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu Core 11.10 daily in chroot environment with host's /etc/passwd
and /etc/shadow copied in chroot I get the following error on installing
dbus package:

chown: invalid group: `root:messagebus'
dpkg: error processing dbus (--configure):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

This error paralyzes any further attempts to install anything.
