  Splash screen not loading

Status in “plymouth” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Plymouth splash screen does not display animation at the beginning of
  screen.  Open Source graphics driver for ATI is in use.  And this bug
  has been affecting my system for 3-4 years now. It has been reported
  as year but it was ignored.
