Title:
  update-grub sets wrong file system for partitions

Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  update-grub creates:
  menuentry 'Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.35-30-generic' --class ubuntu --class gnu-linux --class gnu --class os {
  	recordfail
  	insmod part_msdos
  	insmod ext2
  	set root='(hd0,msdos2)'
  	search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set 074e116c-9804-4f5c-a604-a635d6daa326
  	linux	/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.35-30-generic root=UUID=074e116c-9804-4f5c-a604-a635d6daa326 ro quiet splash
  	initrd	/boot/initrd.img-2.6.35-30-generic
  }

  which does Not work - as the partition is ext4; manually changing the
  /boot/grub/grub.cfg file to contain ext4 makes it work
