Title:
  Samba Folder Attributes Copy Fail

Status in Samba:
  Fix Released
Status in “samba” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released
Status in “samba” source package in Dapper:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: samba

This bug has been reported to Samba and fixed.

  See https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4978

The first official Samba release with this fix is 3.0.27a

This bug renders Samba pretty useless as a Windows Server replacement.
It also has certain "security" implications in that hidden folders are revealed when a directory tree is copied

  The fix seems pretty straight-forward.

Is it possible to backport to the samba package used with Ubuntu 6.06
  LTS Server Edition?
