I have, with lots of help, gotten rid of Xubuntu and now have access to
my system. Sadly, at boot time Grub requires input from me even though
there are no other systems installed.

Title:
  Can't get rid of Grub

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Greetings All.

I have Ubuntu on one half of a partitioned drive and Xubuntu on the
other. I have Grub controlling access at boot time.

I would like to remove Xubuntu from my system completely and I'd like
to get rid of Grub and revert to standard, single system boot. How can
  I best achieve this?

I have tried simply removing Xubuntu but, at boot-time, I'm told
"Couldn't find file" (or words to that effect) and was left at a
flashing cursor with no idea as to how to proceed.

A little help would be HUGELY appreciated!

  Thanks.

  Ken.
