[Bug 873611] Re: installation fails on eeepc 701

The install fails for me at an even earlier stage because it requires
more disk space than the 4GB device on my EEE PC 701. However, 11.10
runs successfully when booted off a 2GB USB memory stick. This is
apparently totally inconsistent.
