Title:
  Can't get rid of Grub

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Greetings All.

I have Ubuntu on one half of a partitioned drive and Xubuntu on the
other. I have Grub controlling access at boot time.

I would like to remove Xubuntu from my system completely and I'd like
to get rid of Grub and revert to standard, single system boot. How can
  I best achieve this?

I have tried simply removing Xubuntu but, at boot-time, I'm told
"Couldn't find file" (or words to that effect) and was left at a
flashing cursor with no idea as to how to proceed.

A little help would be HUGELY appreciated!

  Thanks.

  Ken.
