SRU verification for Oneiric:
I have reproduced the problem with apturl 0.5ubuntu1 in oneiric and have verified that the version of apturl 0.5.1ubuntu1 in -proposed fixes the issue.

Marking as verification-done

** Description changed:

  TEST CASE:
- 1) In a terminal execute 'apturl "apt:skype:i386"'
+ 0. Prerequisite: test must be run on AMD64
+ 1. Enable the repository 'Canonical Partner'
+ 2. In a terminal execute 'apturl "apt:skype:i386"'
+
+ Expected Results:
+ A dialog is displayed which ask for confirmation to install skype:i386

multiarch support, as added in Ubuntu Oneiric, makes it easy to install 32 bit packages on a 64 bit system. The 32 bit versions are named the same, but with ':i386' at the end, so if you're running a 64 bit system, there is no skype package in the repos, only one called skype:i386. Apturl flags valid package names as invalid, with the following error:
  Invalid url: 'apt:skype:i386' given, exiting
  Invalid package name 'skype:i386'
