Bug description:
  upgrade-manager failed with the 'The upgrade has aborted. Your system could be in an unusable state...' message.  /var/log/dist-upgrade/main.log ends with:

  Traceback (most recent call last):

  SystemError: E:Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
