Title:
Upgrade to Kubuntu 11.10 failed
Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Upgrade failed during "Setting new software channels". Content of Error message box:
Could not calculate the upgrade
An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the update: E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages. This can be caused by: * Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command ubuntu-bug update-manaf\ger in a terminal.
Well - I used the "Report Bug" button instead.
I can replicate the bug - it happens every time I try to upgrade on
this computer. Upgraded another machine this AM just fine...
UPDATE: Found the held package "kdevelop" and fixed that problem -
that took care of the upgrade problem as well.
