Title:
grubenv isn't loaded with a separate /boot
Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Status in “grub2” source package in Karmic:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Binary package hint: grub-common
Because /etc/grub.d/00_header adds a check for "/boot/grub/grubenv"
before running load_env, load_env will never be run when /boot is on a
separate partition. This breaks grub-set-default and other things that
depend on grubenv. The check should look for "$prefix/grubenv"
instead. I've attached a patch to fix this.
