Please run:

sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/gb.archive.ubuntu
.com_ubuntu_dists_natty_main_binary-i386_Packages

and see if it solves the problem.

Bug description:
  When I try to use Update I receive this error:

  
  'E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/gb.archive.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_natty_main_binary-i386_Packages, E:The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.'

  Ubuntu: 11:04

  I don't know what version of Update I am using. Update will not open
  so I can't check.

  I wanted to use Update but instead I was presented with this error
  message.
