Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error caused by a corrupted
archive.

Preparing to replace gcc-4.5 4.5.2-8ubuntu4 (using .../gcc-4.5_4.5.3-9ubuntu1_amd64.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement gcc-4.5 ...
dpkg-deb (subprocess): data: internal gzip read error: '<fd:0>: data error'
dpkg-deb: error: subprocess <decompress> returned error exit status 2
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/gcc-4.5_4.5.3-9ubuntu1_amd64.deb (--unpack):
 subprocess dpkg-deb --fsys-tarfile returned error exit status 2

Please execute the following commands, as it will clear your package
cache, in a terminal ( Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal ) :

sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then try performing the update again. This will likely resolve your
issue. If so please set the bug's status to Invalid. Thanks in advance!
