Title:
Kubuntu installer background on 4:3 monitors

Status in “casper” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: casper

  (Wishlist)
The Kubuntu live image for Natty uses the "Horos" background image, which I love looking at on 16:9 monitors. On my 4:3 monitor it is not so nice: the image is scaled to the necessary height and then aligned with the top left corner of the screen, so the right side is cropped in the middle of the large right-hand swirl.
After I press "Try Kubuntu", the start-up animation and the Plasma desktop show Horos with "Scaled" positioning, so the entire image is visible but stretched vertically. A visual jolt occurs when the image switches over.
It would be nice if Casper displayed the image with the same scaling and positioning that the desktop uses. (And even nicer if Horos had a 4:3 variant.)
