Hello,

This was on a portable PC Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pa 1538 (S/N
YSMB027559). I does not have now this portable. This is why I can not
give you more information.

I did this upgrade twice with the same error at the same percentage of
installation (I think I remember 56%).

Finally I decided to re-install Kubuntu 11.04 64 bits (the base of the
upgrade) in an reformated (and thus empty) ext3 partition (third primary
partition of 20 GB and the swap disk of 1 GB at the end of the extended
partition°. For info the first primary partition is with a size of 24
GB, the second one of 14 GB, a logical disk of 32 GB defined in the
extended partition, then an unallocated space (+/- 30GB) and finally the
swap partition (1 GB) end the total size of the HDD is around 120 GB.

Thanks for taking a look to my initial bug report

 Regards, Thierry
