Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  I started a upgrade from Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04, then canceled it while
  it was downloading packages because I needed to use my bandwidth for
  other things. But, the download kept going in the background!

  $ ps 12063
