Title:
Installer crashes shortly after the partitioning step

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

While trying to install Ubuntu 11.04 to my MacBook Air (2010) hard
drive, I receive an error that forces me to quit the installer. This
error occurs very shortly after the partitioning step of the
installation process. The partitions are being created and are
correctly formatted, so I think the error occurs as soon as the OS
  installation begins.
