Sorry about taking so long to add my logs... here they are.  I don't
think it has to do with libcupsys2 for me (which I get an error for when
I try to remove, sorry if that's irrelevant)

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  While upgrading to 11.10 kubuntu, package manger ran into an error
  Upgrade was done via the normal route for the gui (Open KPackage --> Click upgrade)
  The text of the error:

  An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade:
  E:Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be
  caused by held packages.  This can be caused by: * Upgrading to a pre-
  release version of Ubuntu * Running the current pre-release version of
  Ubuntu * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu  If none
  of this applies, then please report this bug using the command
  'ubuntu-bug update-manager'
