[Bug 837186] Re: unetbootin fails to create filesystem.size resulting in installer crashes

My bug report was classified as a duplicate for this. Is there a workaround for this bug? Is it possible to complete the installation? The bug was opened two month ago, it was for a different installation package. Has anybody been able to install Ubuntu?
And I have the filesystem.size file on my installation media.

Bug description:
  hello, sorry i'm french and don't speak good.
  i have an xtreamer ultra with an usb boot OS but when i try to install boot on the hard drive it doesn't work.
  it just say me to send you a mail with 2 files.
