Title:
  ubiquity desktop shortcut permissions wrong

Status in “casper” package in Ubuntu:
  In Progress

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: casper

Under the lxde system environment (based on ubuntu, livecd), the
ubiquity desktop shortcut produced by the casper scripts has the wrong
  permissions.

It has executions rights, but in fact, it shout NOT have them. You can
only execute the shortcut if it has only rw permissions, not rwx.

If it were to keep its original permissions (like the original file
  usr/share/applications/ubiquity-gtkgui.desktop), it would work.

This could be a very lxde specific thing, but at least a workaround
  would be nice.
