Not an installation media error.  I just spun it on independent hardware
on that's running Natty and VirtualBox; under VirtualVox the media check
found no problems.  The drive on the original hardware appears to work
as expected.

Given Lucid's not tip any more, I'm willing to have the bug closed as,
for me at least, Lucid's no longer a going concern.

  this is the second pass install attempt for lucid from live-cd; the
  first time I thought it was either bug 155156 or bug 256407, which I
  corrected as I've seen it fault "there" before.  However, this report
  seems unrelated to those.
