Title:
update-manager crashed with TypeError in confirmChanges():
glib.markup_escape_text() takes at most 1 argument (2 given)

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I had inadvertently left Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 1 running while i was at
work, when i came home approximately 11 hours later i noticed the
computer was on and was proceeding to shut it down. When I moved the
mouse to wake the screen, i noticed an error message saying that not
all updates could be installed and that i needed to run a partial
upgrade. I told it to run, it started to calculate changes and then
after a short time the partial upgrade window disappeared and the
error report box appeared asking me to report a problem for a system
  program.
