Bug description:
  Binary package hint: software-center

  When typing a search in software-center it flickers.

  TEST CASE:
  1. type a and wait
  2. type n and notice the flicker when the view updates

  3. install version from trunk
  4. repeat 1,2 and verify that the search is no longer flickering
