When this happens as part of starting the live session, the session does
start. It also happens when you try to do the actual install and the
installation fails.

** Also affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu Oneiric)
   Importance: Critical
       Status: Confirmed

** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu Oneiric)
    Milestone: None => ubuntu-11.10-beta-2

Bug description:
  I'm testing today's build of Kubuntu oneiric beta 2.

  At the bootloader i choosed "start kubuntu". After a while, usually I
  should get the window to select if I want to "try kubuntu" or "install
  it". This time, I got a window with this alert "Installer crashed". It
  asked me to file a bug against ubiquity and then it shows me my kde
  desktop.

  Let me know if I can provide you more information.
