Just noticed that's related to the IP address I entered. I manually
configured the address to 192.168.111.199. The 192 got used for
hostname (see Bug 856088) and this is ~the rest of it.

Title:
Expert install defaults to invalid domain name

Status in “debian-installer” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Running the expert install with D-I, it gives a numeric, IP address
looking entry as the recommended domain name. The installer should not
allow, let alone recommend, invalid domain names. See attached
  screenshot.
