Hi Robert, thanks very much for your branch! It works perfectly and is
now merged to trunk.

Note that I did some additional work to bring back the custom list
action bar install capability that we had with the old UI, so I believe
that at this point the custom list functionality should be fully
restored in the new UI.

Thanks again! As always your good work is very much appreciated.

Title:
  Custom lists no longer work

Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Committed

Bug description:
Problem occurs with: software-center-gtk3 trunk r2217, Ubuntu Ocelot
Does not occur with: software-center trunk r2217

Based on test case sc-016 <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#custom-list>:
  1. Go to the home screen.
  2. In the search field, enter "gedit, tomboy, eog"

What you see: "No items match gedit, tomboy, eog"

What you should see: A custom list consisting of GEdit, Tomboy, and
  Image Viewer.
