Bug description:
  I've been noticing for some time that the update-manager is not starting and not functioning normally at gnome-shell startup  after login. Last night I did an update using synaptic and now early this crash happened. I do not know if this has some influence but I am having problems with ligthdm (some days it works, there are days that does not work) and today it did not load. I had to login giving ctrl + alt + f2 (init2) and then gave the command 'startx' to start the graphical interface. Normally I use gnome-shell but when I have to login "manually" this way the unity is always loaded and this crash happened in unity.
  The programs load at startup are: Evolution Alarm Notification, Avant Window Navigator, GNOME Do, NVIDIA X Server Settings, Pidgim, Synaptiks touchpad configuration.
  I also use the Fingerprint GUI which is another source of instability, because it relies on libraries that are constantly changing in this phase.
