hmm, I see the point, Matthew, but what if it just searched the last
cathegory you were in (or the whole list if there was none specified)?
that is the most likely place you may want to search in...

I really agree with you, that it would be a little messup, if the
searchbar whas this "multifuncional", but if you try to look at it from
the perspective of a "normal" user who is not bothered by this, it feels
annoying for him that the searchabar keeps vanishing and he is less
concerned about what it will search through, because he will be notified
anyway if he is searching through a cathegory and not the whole list.

but that is my opinion, you may disagree, of course
