Hi,

I've tried again the upgrade using 'sudo do-release-upgrade -d' 
It didn't stop like previous time, it seems that it worked, it downloaded and installed everything ,
 it didn't complain about something.

However after reboot, the laptop is not starting in new Ubuntu :
At boot I'm choosing 
Linux 3.0.0-12-generic (Recovery mode) but right after the loading stops with the following:

" Loading Linux 3.0.0-12-generic ...
   Loading initial ramdisk ....
"

And nothing else happens, it remains in this state forever.

The caps-lock and name-lock are both blinking forever ...
