I had a crack at this yesterday, but there seems to be a bug in
GtkScrolledView (or my code) that doesn't respect setting the direction
to LTR.

Title:
Language listbox jumps from side to side as you scroll through it

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  ubiquity 2.7.35, Ubuntu 11.10 beta 2

  1. Start the installer.
  2. Hold down the Down key to scroll through the language list.

  What happens:
  * When you reach Hebrew, the box you are scrolling jumps to the right.
  * At the next language, the box jumps back to the left.
  * The next two languages (Arabic), the box jumps to the right again.
  * The next language, it jumps to the left again.

What should happen: For visual stability, the box should stay in one
  place, regardless of language direction.
