  Add a clear text option to the Quick Filter

Status in “synaptic” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Many applications now have a clear text option for filter boxes and
  would be really useful if this could be added to synaptic.

  I have attached an example screenshot of the clear filter button from
  system-settings in oneiric.
