Title:
Debconf prompt "Writing GRUB to boot device failed - continue?"

Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  grub-pc 1.99-20ubuntu1, Ubuntu Pangolin

During the update to 1.99-20-ubuntu1, a Debconf prompt appeared:

      Configuring grub-pc
[ ] Writing GRUB to boot device failed - continue? ( Help )
                                                               ( Forward )

Clicking "Help" opens a secondary alert box:

GRUB failed to install to the following devices:
      /dev/sda
Do you want to continue anyway? If you do, your computer may not start up properly.
                                                               ( Close )

  What's wrong with this:
  1. Whatever caused the prompt to appear in the first place.
  2. Most people wouldn't know what either grub-pc or GRUB are. (Not a problem if this would never appear post-release.)
  3. The "Forward" button was sensitive, but clicking it did nothing until "Writing GRUB to boot device failed - continue?" was checked.
