Hi Michael

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.

As you will see in my previous comment the issue is actually with
resolvconf rather than bind9 - /etc/resolv.conf is normally a symbolic
link which the resolvconf package manages.

Any chance you may have replaced this with an actual file?
