I got the above when updating today along with a screen warning me it had failed to update grub. Will reboot later and hopefully confirm it still boots.

Bug description:
I just had a daily update in Ubuntu 12.04, and during the update, ir
gace an error saying it couldnt install the update and because of this
you might not be able to boot from grub.......once I carried on, and
rebooted, the grub appeared, you hit enter and that error appears
