Was also able to reproduce the bug by not selecting auto-loging.

Bug description:
  Installing the pre-built image for Omap 4 made ubiquity to crash
  saying the installer failed. The only difference from my usual
  installation is that I requested the auto-login to be in place.

  Bug reported from the crash reporter dialog.
