  Update-manager is extremely slow at removing packages after an update

Status in “update-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  After updating a list of packages with update-manager, the list takes
  a few seconds to remove each newly updated element from the list of
  packages. Perhaps a redraw is being done after each element is removed
  from the list instead of removing all the elements then redrawing.
