Regression : kernel 3.0.0.18 made PATA disk disappear
Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
My system uses a PATA IDE Disk as a secondary drive.
Up to kernel 3.0.0.17 amd64 the IDE disk worked well. After upgrade to 3.0.0.18 the disk is not seen anymore by teh system.
The jmicron controller is still seen.
Booting back in 3.0.0.17, the system finds the disk again.
Disk has been tested with UBCD and show no problem (Hitashi drive
