Yeah, I also see this as "Frequency out of range", although analysis
shows that this condition is actually 'no data'. LiveCD and 10.10 and
below work fine as long as I don't have grub2. It may be passing invalid
data to kernel, which feeds this bad data to the graphics card. Ubuntu
oneiric amd64, nvidia 6150SE graphics card, also tried with other system
and nvidia 590GTX, all have problem., No problem on borrowed ATI radeon
3200.

Title:
black screen 'no input' grub loader nvidia

Status in “grub2” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: debian-installer

  Ubuntu Natty (development branch) 11.04
This bug appears similar to #684083 but after approximately 20 seconds bootloader goes on to load with a particular ubuntu installation. Problem is with multi install configuration can't see what can be booted or not booted. Going with native motherboard graphics card, and removing Nvidia geoforce 7300 card allows one to select from Grub other install options. Otherwise with Nvidia 7300 graphics card installed black screen 'No input' appears.
