The error in the logs is:

Richte ttf-mscorefonts-installer ein (3.2ubuntu0.1) ...

These fonts were provided by Microsoft "in the interest of cross-
platform compatibility".  This is no longer the case, but they are
still available from third parties.

You are free to download these fonts and use them for your own use,
but you may not redistribute them in modified form, including changes
to the file name or packaging format.

All fonts downloaded and installed.
/etc/defoma/hints/ttf-mscorefonts-installer.hints: Unable to open, or empty.
dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von ttf-mscorefonts-installer (--configure):
 Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 1 zurück

The file /etc/defoma/hints/ttf-mscorefonts-installer.hints is part of
the ttf-mscorefonts-installer package.  Because it's a conffile, it will
not be restored on package upgrade if removed.  You will need to install
the package with 'dpkg --force-confmiss'.
