  Thai font does not render in Imagemagick (Convert)

Status in “imagemagick” package in Ubuntu:
  In Progress

Bug description:
  The Thai characters do not render at all,being replaced by  '?'
  instead.  There is no problem using Libre Office, Chromium etc, only
  tools in the IM suite.
