Public bug reported:
A user reports he has installed Ubuntu 12.04 amd64, and since then lost
access to W7 partition. (Windows does not appear in GRUB2 menu).
According to his Boot-Repair log ( http://paste.ubuntu.com/923901 ), the
Win7 /boot/BCD and /bootmgr files are missing. They were probably on a
separate partition which has been erased by partman.
Attached sys and partman logs.
** Affects: partman-auto (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
