Looks like this requires some css tweaking for a listview row.

It was confirmed to only affect the installer so it's probably another css regression caused by ubiquity's css overrides.
I'll take a look at this one and marked it as Medium priority because it makes the UI quite confusing and can't be fixed post-release through SRU.

Bug description:
  In the Edubuntu options screen for selecting software, some of the
  tick-boxes seem half-ticked, making it appear that some software in
  those selections would not be installed.

  However, they are fully ticked and it may cause some confusion.

  (at least, it did for me)
