[Bug 981816] [NEW] aptitude -d install freezes

Public bug reported:

The --download-only flag freezes aptitude. Even if the package is
already installed, after printing "No packages will be installed …" it
just hangs.

Ubuntu precise, just upgraded everything, Amazon EC2 t1.micro eu-west-1.
